Re-Live The National Student Radio Conference

It's been a little while now since the Student Radio Conference in Leeds, and we thought we'd re-live some memories. The conference - which proved to be the biggest ever with over 200 delegates - saw speeches from some of the biggest names in the BBC and Commercial Radio.

Through the summer we'll be updating the website with some of our audio highlights from the conference, starting with a definite highlight - from James Cridland, Head of Future Media and Technology for BBC Audio & Music Interactive. Even if you didn't manage the trip up to leeds - there's loads of valuable tips for student radio and beyond.

James shared with us some of the exciting things the BBC are up to in the Multi-Platform radio world, as well as some tips on how student radio can ensure it's at the cutting edge. You can hear James' talk here.

Ashley Tabor, Chief executive officer of Global Radio has joined the line-up for what is likely to be the most successful student radio conference to date. 31 year old Tabor is currently masterminding the biggest change in the landscape of commercial radio in the UK since the first ILR stations in the 1970s – as the Heart brand comes to radio stations across the UK. Ashley will share his vision for the future of Commercial radio with over 200 students at the University of Leeds in a Question & Answer session hosted by Galaxy Radio’s Simon Hirst.

It\'s fantastic that Ashley will be joining us for the event, and really underlines the support and commitment of the radio industry to student radio.
